Assistant Principal, Mr. Cadwell / Welcome

Welcome to Newton-Lee Elementary School!

Mr. Cadwell began his career as a special education teacher at Lowes Island Elementary School and then served as a fifth grade teacher at Countryside Elementary School. He then became Assistant Principal at Newton-Lee Elementary, helping to open the school. Mr. Cadwell received his Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from Duquesne University, as well as a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and certificate in Special Education Leadership from George Mason University.

Newton-Lee Elementary is fortunate to have a high level of collaboration between parents, teachers, students and members of the local community. This ongoing partnership continues to be a key element in our effort to provide an educational experience for our students that involves high expecations and student centered instruction in a safe and supportive classroom environment. There is no doubt that education in the 21st century is much different than what we may have experienced as students. The best way to understand this change is to become actively involved! I invite you to take some time to volunteer or visit the school and see first-hand how the students of Newton-Lee Elementary are moving forward on the voyage to success!
