I am looking forward to my fourth year at Pinebrook Elementary School where I will be part of the 5th grade team of teachers! My name is Kimberly Jones and I attended Slippery Rock University, located just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (which explains my love for the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates!) During my undergraduate studies, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel to various European countries. That travel included completing a portion of my student teaching in Dublin, Ireland which allowed me to be immersed in a different culture. As a graduate dually certified in Elementary and Special Education, I look forward to working with the Pumas of Pinebrook.
Currently I am working toward my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at George Mason University. In the spring, you'll find me on the softball diamond at Freedom High School where I am a Varsity softball coach. When I'm not teaching, taking classes, or coaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exercising, reading, traveling, sports, the beach, and theater.
I am looking forward to collaborating with students, staff, and parents to make the 2012-2013 school year a success!
