Did You Know?

Previous years, the Algonkian PTA has sponsored the acquisition of the playground behind the school, the signboard in front of the school, the new benches and patio out front, and the installation of a new sound system for the school's Activity Room. In addition to these sorts of major items, funds raised from PTA Membership dues and PTA-sponsored fundraising events have gone toward many programs that benefit our children; such as, the “behind-the-scenes” to sponsor the following:

• Cultural Arts Programs/School Assemblies
• Reimbursement to teachers for classroom supplies
• Periodicals & online subscriptions for classrooms: Scholastic Magazines, Time for Kids, Study Island, Brain Pop, Reading Eggs, ...
• Equiments for school: chromebooks, ActiveExpressions & Digital Projectors, ...
• Books for classrooms, the library, and the Book Room
• Hemlock team-building field trip for 5th Grade
• Ink Cartridge Funds
• Events: BINGO nights, Monster Mash, Pancakes/Comedy Night, Holiday Bazaar, Movie Night, Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, ...
