There are so many wonderful things that happen at Leesburg Elementary School and now you have the opportunity to express your gratitude to those who make everything possible at LES by writing a simple note of thanks or recognition. All notes will be displayed on the Sea of Thanks bulletin board outside the multipurpose room.  Parents, staff, and students are encouraged to show their gratitude to all the people who make Leesburg Elementary such a great school!
 Notes may be written on preprinted cards, note paper, or simply written on a piece of plain paper. You may also use the note of gratitude located below. Completed notes may be placed in the basket in the main office. You may send in a note with your child, and his/her teacher will make sure that it gets to the proper location.
 
 
 

Announcements

  • Students at Leesburg Elementary will be celebrating National African American History Month during February. Children in kindergarten through fifth grade will be learning about the important contributions of African Americans in the areas of art, music, politics, civil rights, education, sports and science. Students at several grade levels will be writing essays about their dreams for America, modeled after Dr. Martin Luther King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1963.

  • Energy Star Leesburg Elementary earned the prestigious 2011 ENERGY STAR AWARD! 
    The ENERGY STAR is the mark of superior energy performance and identifies our school as one the most efficient buildings in the nation. By taking this important step along the path to energy efficiency, we are not only saving money – we are preventing the release of greenhouse gases and protecting the environment. This is the fourth year Leesburg Elementary School has received this honor.
